The Cape Egmont Sea Rescue Trust is proud to hold the Maritime New Zealand Part Rule 35 Certificate thanks to support and help from Maritime New Zealand, and trainers Graeme Cowling, Dave Duncan and Chris Musgrave.  Our thorough training systems and standard of senior crew competency means we can issue our own Certificate of Competency (COC) Masters qualification, relating specifically to being Master of TSB Sea Rescue only.

Of our current crew of 20, we have six crew members with COC Masters.  All other crew members are at various stages of working through our training system. It takes up to two years for a crew member to become fully trained to COC Masters level.
